Hyderabad monsoons are a joy for humans and a hazard for paws. Wet fur, muddy roads and standing water are the perfect storm for skin infections, ticks and fungal growth.
Rinse and dry paws after every walk — pay special attention to the space between the toes. A soft cotton cloth works better than tissue.
Keep the belly and tail base dry. These low-hanging areas collect the most moisture and are where hot-spots typically start.
Check for ticks daily during monsoon. The rains bring them out in force, and early spotting is the easiest cure.
