
'Premium' and 'natural' aren't regulated words. The ingredient list is where the truth lives.
Look for a named protein first: 'chicken', 'lamb', 'fish' — not 'meat meal' or 'animal by-product'.
Whole grains or named vegetables in the top five is a good sign. A wall of unnamed fillers is not.
Skip artificial colours. Your dog does not care whether their kibble is red, brown or green.
Match the food to life-stage. Puppy, adult and senior formulas exist because their nutritional needs really are different.
